The unique Flex Trim sanding head can be delivered in any length / diameter needed for the task/machine. There are countless ways to combine the module-built sanding head, and our standard models will cover your needs in most cases, otherwise, for a small price addition, the core can be made to the required dimensions.One of the many advantages of the original Flex-sanding cores is that replacements of the sanding segments are made without dismantling the shaft and the head, just by removing the O-ring. The cores are produced using POM, which is resistant to chemicals , allowing for the cores to be installed in a lacquer room.

The Right Brush Height is Important

One of the many decisions to be taken, in assessing what tool to use to get the optimized sanding is to look closely at the profile and determine the right height of the brush in relation to what kind of sanding required, from polishing to aggressive brushing or just normal intermediate or wood sanding. Standard Grit progression is enforced, ie ."skip a grip"
Flex Trim offers six height of the brushes, all been used for different applications from aggressive sanding to polishing covering items with very deep profiles to surface sanding complemented with a supporting brush, allowing for a higher pressure on the surface with the result of a more aggressive sanding.

Flex Trim Sanding Head Support Brushes Explained

The narrow support brushes are especially useful for aggressive sanding on profile items.

The wide support brushes are used mainly on flat surfaces. These have the same effect as a belt sander on flat items except that the sanding media is more durable on items coated with UV-lacquer.

In our evaluation of the right solution for any given job, we also consider which type of sanding media to use.
To start with, we supply sanding strips with six different sanding media. If the job requires
a non-standard media we will find it; we pride ourselves in delivering the perfect solution.

The cores are produced using POM, which is resistant to chemicals , allowing for the cores to be installed in a lacquer room. As standard are the cores supplied in the following diameters. Ø35, Ø50, Ø80, Ø100, Ø120, Ø180 and Ø280. Please ask for details of any non-standard diameters you may require.

Determining What is the Right FLEX Trim Head for your Application?

The Flex Trim solution offers (2) ways to Sand: CUPS and HUBS in combination with various length and width of abrasive media. Each one is specific in the type of FACE or EDGE SANDING application desired.
The CUPS are used for SURFACE /FACE SANDING, but can, depending, on EDGE Profile Surface and sand the EDGE profile as well: (IE a Roundover Profile Sanding). This is achieved by using a brush with Additional length and ordering the abrasive media at a specific angle. The HUBS are used for EDGE SANDING, both Straight and Profile. They are available in different Diameters with various lengths. Click below to pick your HUB and then continue to choose the length of Abrasive media that matches the length of your HUB. The abrasive media is available in various grits and depending on your need can be sniped on the edge to provide additional Flexibility to the profile. These cuts are available in 3mm, 4,5mm 6,7mm and 20 mm, in addition you can order with out any Cuts.
